Diagnostic Test Hose & Fittings
Image result for stauff testSTAUFF Test Test couplings from the STAUFF Test product range are already planned in suitable positions in the hydraulic system during the design phase of a machine, or added at a later stage in the course of retrofitting or upgrading. They allow machine operators and maintenance personnel to easily and safely connect analogue and digital measuring and display devices for the temporary testing or continuous monitoring of system pressure and other factors. If required, they also allow venting of the system as well as collecting representative fluid samples, e.g. for analysing the degree of contamination of the fluid. This type of connection requires no tools and can also be carried out during operation under full system pressure up to 630 bar / 9135 PSI (depending on the type of coupling). The check valve (ball or poppet valve) integrated into the test coupling opens only after connection of the measuring and display device with suitable adapters or test hoses, which complete the product range. This guarantees safe sealing of the connection without any risks of leakages or fluid escaping from the system.

During production, STAUFF test couplings are not crimped after insertion of the internal valve components and seals but rather closed with a threaded nipple in a fully automated process, which secures the proper functioning of the couplings under permanent loads. The vibration protection feature, which prevents self-loosening of the protective metal cap caused by vibrations in the system, is another competitive advantage.

For the finishing of the test coupling range in carbon steel, STAUFF relies on the STAUFF Zinc/Nickel surface coating which has proven successful for many years. It provides reliable surface protection – even after transport, handling and assembly – and meets all current legal requirements. Versions in stainless steel V2A and V4A are generally available from stock. Alternative materials and surfaces are available on request.

For selected types and series, independent certificates and approvals can be provided: § Military approval for use as gas filling valves for nitrogen accumulators by the German Bundeswehr (Wehrtechnische Dienststelle für Pionier- und Truppengerät) § DVGW registration as test points for gas pressure control systems, issued by the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water
